Vice President Biden endorses Ami Bera

Today Vice President Joe Biden, who has a long, distinguished career as an advocate for the middle class, endorsed Representative Ami Bera for his work on behalf of Sacramento County families.

“I am proud to support Representative Ami Bera, who stands with middle class families and stands up to Washington Republicans' plan to stack the deck for wealthy special interests," said Vice President Biden. "I know Representative Ami Bera will continue to be an independent voice for the people of California and will work to create good jobs, ensure equal pay for women, and increase opportunities for affordable education, creating an economy that works for all Americans. Representative Ami Bera has a proven record of putting the middle class first."

Dr. Ami Bera represents Sacramento County in Congress. He’s working to make Congress a place for service and fighting to rebuild an economy that works for middle class families. As a leader of the No Labels' Problem Solvers, Bera is leading the charge to find bipartisan solutions to our nation’s challenges, and worked to pass the No Budget No Pay Act, which says if members of Congress don’t pass a budget, they don’t get paid. He and his wife Janine live in Elk Grove with their daughter Sydra.
