Former Congressman Doug Ose has once again shown how desperate he is to save his stalling campaign, loaning his campaign another $1.125 million of his own money this week, bringing the total he spent just this month to more than $2 million. After tripling his wealth in Congress, Ose has spent more than $8 million of his own money trying to return to Washington.
"Former Congressman Ose's attempt to buy this election with the millions he made the last time he was in Congress shows just truly out of touch he is with Sacramento County families," said Bera spokesperson Allison Teixeira. "Ose went to Congress and voted against the interests of middle class time and time again while cutting taxes for the wealthy and rewarding corporations that ship American jobs overseas. Ose made himself and his friends on Wall Street millions so it's no wonder why Ose is willing to spend millions of his own money to return to Washington."
Ose grew his wealth by $100 million during his three terms in Congress. He spent $5 million in his last attempt to get back, an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to defeat primary opponent Tom McClintock for California's 4th Congressional District.
